Rajan Kambo, Esq. is Of Counsel at Yazdi Law, PLLC, where he leads the firm's United States immigration practice from the Midtown Manhattan office at 261 Madison Avenue. He represents individuals and families across the full spectrum of immigration matters — from initial petitions and applications through consular processing, removal defense, and federal appellate review — with clients in New York City, the surrounding counties, and nationally.

Rajan handles family-based petitions (I-130), adjustment of status (I-485), and consular processing through the National Visa Center. His marriage-based green card practice includes bona fides evidence development, interview preparation for appearances at the USCIS New York field office at 26 Federal Plaza, and I-751 removal of conditions for conditional residents. He represents applicants in naturalization proceedings, preparing N-400 applications and representing clients at USCIS interviews. Rajan also handles humanitarian matters including Special Immigrant Juvenile Status proceedings under INA § 203(b)(4), Temporary Protected Status applications and re-registrations, and asylum cases — both affirmative applications with USCIS and defensive applications in removal proceedings before the immigration courts. His employment-based practice covers employer-sponsored petitions and PERM labor certification coordination with the Department of Labor. When administrative relief is denied, Rajan pursues appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and, where appropriate, petitions for review in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Rajan earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany. His economics background supports the analytical demands of employment-based immigration and cases involving complex financial documentation. Rajan is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Court of International Trade. His Second Circuit admission allows him to pursue federal appellate review of immigration court and Board of Immigration Appeals decisions — a critical resource for clients whose administrative appeals have been denied but whose cases warrant further judicial review.

Rajan is fluent in English and Punjabi. His Punjabi-language capability allows the firm to serve clients from South Asian communities — particularly those from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan and the broader Punjabi diaspora — in their preferred language. For immigration matters, where clients are navigating an unfamiliar legal system under significant personal stakes, language access meaningfully affects case preparation, client understanding, and the quality of evidence developed. Rajan's practice serves a diverse client base that includes families, professionals, asylum seekers, and unaccompanied minors from countries across the globe.
